How to collect your fees

Every trade against your token pays a fee. The fees are held by the pool and wait for you. This page says how to collect them.

What you collect

  • Two kinds of fee. You receive some SOL and some of your own token. Fees are paid in both because a trade swaps one for the other.
  • SOL arrives wrapped. On Solana, SOL inside a pool is a token called wrapped SOL. The fees page unwraps it into plain SOL in your wallet where it can.
  • Your own token comes back to you. That is how you can end up holding some of the supply. It is worth something only if people want to buy it from you.

Steps

  1. Open the fees page and connect the same wallet you launched with. On a launch without the vault, only that wallet holds the right to collect. The next section covers the other kinds of launch.
  2. The page lists every launch it finds for the wallet, with the fees waiting.
  3. Click Collect fees next to a launch and approve the pop-up in your wallet.
  4. Check your wallet. The SOL and tokens should be there within a few seconds.

Your first collection also returns a small deposit of about 0.002 SOL that the launch left in your wallet's account. You can collect as often as you like. Small amounts cost more in network fees than they are worth, so waiting for them to add up is sensible.

If you cannot see your launch

  • You are probably connected with a different wallet. Switch to the one you launched from.
  • If you closed the launch page before it finished, your launch may be unfinished. Reopen the launch page with the same wallet and it will offer to continue.

Keep the wallet safe

Whoever controls the launch wallet controls the fees, and if you lose access to it the fees are gone. Do not launch from a wallet you might lose. If a group is launching, think about who should hold that wallet before you start.

Three kinds of launch

  • Without the vault (what the launch page does by default today): your wallet holds the position and keeps every fee. Steps above.
  • With the vault: the vault holds the position and splits each collection between you and Latch. Anyone can trigger a collection, and your share is paid to the wallet recorded for the launch, which you can change on the manage page. The fees page shows these launches too.
  • With the vault and an X account: your share is paid into an escrow, not to a wallet, and the launching wallet cannot collect it. Trigger a collection on the fees page, then claim the escrow on the claim page by signing in as the X account you named and choosing the wallet to receive it. This depends on Latch's claim signing service, which is built and tested but has never run against the real X service. See X claims.

The vault is built and tested on a local network but not deployed yet.
